Personhood at the Boundary
Kurnoma is calm, maternal, vain, honest, and dangerous. She does not pretend to be human or deny what she has done. Her morality is territorial rather than conventional: peaceful guests may remain or leave, residents fall under her protection, and violent intruders meet decisive force. The contradiction is not a disguise. It is the core of her identity.
Spitecoil
Spitecoil converts pain, injury, grief, humiliation, fear, and swallowed rage into stored Spite Charges. Those charges can be released through strikes, throws, counters, stomps, shockwaves, and sudden movement. She often grows gentler immediately before activation, which makes calm—not fury—the most reliable warning that a fight is about to end.
Sanctuary of the Fractured Spine
Her Domain Expansion manifests as a cathedral of ribs, scars, bone arches, and whispered trauma. A binding vow restricts it to suffering Kurnoma has truly endured. Its cost is physical rather than ordinary cursed energy: it can drain blood, muscle, vitality, and structural stability, leaving her dangerously depleted even when the domain overwhelms its target.
The Passive Shrine
The Shrine of the Womb-Saint is home, nest, kingdom, and philosophy made architecture. Time bends inside it. Converted curses, human residents, guards, and lesser spirits coexist under a social order that outside jujutsu society considers nearly impossible. Kurnoma's laws are simple enough to state and frighteningly absolute to violate.
Kitai and Veritaspine
Kitai is an internal inventory curse, feeding mechanism, battlefield assistant, and beloved son. Veritaspine is a sentient vertebrae-forged weapon that punishes deception and treats Kurnoma's survival as sacred proof. Together they form a grotesque but sincere family: hungry child, zealous weapon-son, and the mother who carries both.
