The Breakable Sorcerer
Kurnoma began with snapping threads, slow cursed motes, damaged fingers, and a body far more vulnerable than her potential suggested. Agility, good instincts, Tidewinder, and refusal kept her alive. Training made her wiry and efficient, but ordinary wounds remain a severe danger because her regeneration responds far better to cursed damage than to mundane injury.
Threadbare Coffer
The technique combines cursed threads with motes that carry specialized effects. Threads bind, cut, suspend, redirect, trip, stitch, cage, and store tension; motes can introduce light, heat, pressure, electricity, sound, salt, glass, or iron. Tidewinder, a segmented chain-whip, extends delivery range and creates feints while the real structure forms elsewhere.
Trauma-Reactive Growth
Severe trauma can accelerate Kurnoma's cursed energy and technical mastery, but the process is neither noble nor safe. Blackouts, nerve damage, coma, pathway instability, and emotional volatility accompany the growth. Stage 2 followed a fatal patrol disaster; Stage 3 emerged after Nanami Kento's death, when grief compressed itself into a targetable system.
Mourning Lattice
At Stage 3, near-invisible microfilaments can reconnect, transmit stored effects, and span roughly fifty meters or more in favorable terrain. Boundary Stitching interferes with the edges of transformed bodies, while delayed activation punishes movement after an opponent believes they have escaped. Stage 1 survived. Stage 2 controlled. Stage 3 authors the battlefield.
Grief Without a Halo
Kurnoma is disciplined, loyal, blunt, and increasingly difficult to approach. Her hatred of curses has become ideological, and criticism of her methods can trigger open hostility. Trauma explains the sharpness without excusing it. Her projected Domain Expansion, Forbidden Shore of the Holy Sun, represents the endpoint of that philosophy: scorched terrain where every prepared thread becomes part of the burial.
