A House with Instincts
6808 is not a building inhabited by a monster; the residence itself is the dominant organism. Corridors shorten or lengthen, doors invite or obstruct, carpets stabilize the injured or restrain intruders, and rooms learn the habits of occupants. Its awareness reads need, agitation, violence, and dishonesty through changes in atmosphere rather than visible surveillance.
Guest, Child, and Meat
Guests enter the hospitality cycle and are expected to respect warnings, restrictions, staff, and other residents. Child describes people the level judges especially vulnerable, regardless of age, and receives its strongest protection. Meat describes those who exploit hospitality, damage the Root, hunt residents, or threaten Guests and Children; once assigned, the architecture begins behaving like digestion.
The Architecture Below
Major regions include the Reception Halls, memory-shaped Long Apartments, the exposed Red Service Tunnels, a ritualized Dining Wing, dangerous Wardrobe Rooms operated by literal-minded Tailors, and the Below-Below: a palace-like biological heart where the level's Kurnoma-derived concept of authority and shelter appears to dream.
Helpful Horror
The level's generosity is genuine, which makes it harder to resist. A room can provide the first safe sleep a wanderer has had in months while learning their preferences. A bed may begin tucking them in, a pillow may anticipate movement, and a recovered Guest may discover that the house no longer agrees they are ready to survive the next door.
